Mung Beans in Soup: The Star Ingredient and Its Benefits

As spring blooms, it’s the perfect time to embrace the simplicity and nourishment of a hearty, yet light, Zen-sational Mung Bean Soup. This vibrant green concoction isn’t just a normal soup in the long list of mung bean recipes; it’s a symphony of flavors and nutrients designed to fuel your body and brighten your day, one delightful sip at a time.

Mung beans, our star of the show! Legumes, in general, are an excellent source of plant-based protein, making them a perfect choice for those looking to add more meatless meals to their repertoire. Research shows that meals made with legume recipes and legume protein provide just as much post-meal satisfaction as animal based proteins and are packed with fiber.

But here’s the kicker: legumes have specifically been linked with a reduction in breast cancer risk. A Harvard study including over 88,000 women found that those who substituted just one serving of legumes for one serving of meat per day had a 15% lower risk of breast cancer. And if that’s not enough reason to add more legumes to your diet, women who ate beans at least twice a week had a 24% lower risk of developing breast cancer compared to those who ate them less than once a month.

Spicing Up Your Recipe for Mung Bean Soup

Now, onto my secret weapon that really awakens your world: the Vegitude Power Spice Blend. This specially formulated blend isn’t just any old mix of spices—it’s a breast cancer protective powerhouse. Each ingredient was carefully chosen not only for its flavor but also for its incredible breast cancer prevention potential.

Garlic and onion, for example, have both been linked to lower breast cancer risk thanks to their active compounds that may inhibit carcinogens, protect cell DNA, and suppress tumor cell proliferation. Turmeric, with its key nutrient curcumin, has been shown to block cancer cell growth, kill tumor cells, and halt metastasis. When paired with black pepper, the absorption of curcumin is enhanced by up to 2,000%.

Parsley, yet another key ingredient in the blend, is rich in apigenin, an antioxidant with potential anti-estrogenic properties. And let’s not forget that all five of these spices are renowned for their anti-inflammatory properties, making them a triple threat against inflammation and oxidative stress.Embrace your Zen and nourish both body and soul with a bowl of Zen-sational Mung Bean Soup and enjoy all the mung bean benefits. Whether enjoyed piping hot or at room temperature, this soup is a lifesaver for busy schedules and on-the-go souping meals.
