A member of the carrot family, you can get fennel in two forms — seeds or bulb — whichever you like best. The recipe below uses bulbs, but another way to use it is to brew a tea using a teaspoon of seeds and a cup of hot water.

Debloat Me Fennel


  • 3 bulbs of fennel
  • 2 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes and pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Trim bulbs. Halve bulbs lengthwise; slice lengthwise into 1/2-inch-thick pieces.
  2. On a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper, toss fennel with oil; season with red pepper flakes and black pepper. Roast, turning once, until browned, 25 to 30 minutes.
